Cello Lessons in Westminster, CO & the Greater Denver–Boulder Area
I help cello students of all ages and experience levels reach their musical goals with a curriculum that emphasizes organization, body awareness, and a process-based approach to learning.
My goal as a cello instructor is to guide students through the intricacies of the cello repertoire in a fun, positive learning environment while fostering musical excellence, independence, and a strong work ethic. While the main objective is for my students to become proficient cellists, my ultimate desire is for them to develop valuable skills that extend to other aspects of life, including problem-solving, resilience, and an optimistic attitude toward music and the world.
In our lessons, we will:
Set achievable, aligned repertoire goals
Develop well-rounded music literacy
Build a toolbox of practice skills and routines
Produce a resonant tone with efficient technique
Cultivate focused listening skills
Reflect on progress through performance opportunities
As a Suzuki-certified cello teacher, I believe that a nurturing and collaborative environment is essential to student success. For young students especially, active parent involvement in lessons and at-home practice helps sustain a cohesive Suzuki triangle: student, parent, and teacher working together to create a supportive learning experience.
I offer both in-person and online cello lessons for students seeking a structured and goal-oriented lesson program. My goal is to help students become thoughtful musicians who navigate challenges with confidence, patience, and intention.
